Coal City UMC to serve first ‘Hallelujah’ soup supper of New Year

COAL CITY — Coal City United Methodist Church, 6805 E. McArdle Road , Coal City, invites the community to the first “Hallelujah” Soup Supper of the New Year.

Served from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, the will will include homemade Chicken with Rice soup and Chili. They will also be serving ham and turkey sandwiches along with their delicious soups.

The cost will be $8 for adults and children age 13 and  older; $4 for children ages 6 to 12; $2 for children ages 3 to 5; and free for children ages 2 and under.

Each meal includes your choice of soup, your choice of ham or turkey sandwiches, crackers, a beverage, ice cream and dessert. A children’s menu and carry-outs are available.

All proceeds will go to the church’s building fund. Tickets will be sold at the door.
