Job Networking/Work Session slated Jan. 8

PLAINFIELD — The St. Mary Immaculate Employ-ment Ministry invites you to network with fellow job seekers and coaches.

You can also work one-on-one with coaches, each an experienced hiring manager, to get your resume and handbill reviewed; develop networking and interviewing skills; and talk about spiritual, emotional, or social service help needs.

The ministry will meet Jan. 8, 2013, promptly at 6:30 p.m. in the St. Mary Immaculate Parish Faith Sharing Room, 15629 South Illinois 59, Plainfield.

If you are new to job seeking or networking, sign in at 6:30 p.m. for an introduction to networking tools like the Handbill and the Elevator Speech. Then you can work one-on-one with coaches or practice skills and expand your network by participating in a structured Networking Session. Bring copies of your handbill or resume to distribute.

Coaches help job seekers succeed. There is no cost to attend, pre-registration is not required, and everyone is welcome. Members represent all ages, work backgrounds and future desires. Dress is casual.
