Warning graduates from Air Force basic training

Minooka native completes eight-week program at Lackland

Air Force Jennifer Warning graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

Warning completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

She entered the Air Force with 40 college credits, and continues to earn college credit through her Air Force training.

Warning is the daughter of Joe and Deb Warning of Minooka. She is a 2011 homeschooled graduate.

Horne graduates from Marine basic training

Marine Corps Pvt. Joshua R. Horne, son of Joi Michelle A. Weidiman of Minooka, Ill., recently graduated from the Marine Corps Basic Combat Engineer Course at Marine Corps Engineer School, Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, N.C.

During the five-week course, Horne received instruction in the fundamentals of engineering support for combat units, including the procedures for building and repairing bridges, roads and field fortifications. Horne also received training on demolition concepts, land mine warfare and camouflage techniques.

Horne is a 2011 graduate of Minooka High School of Minooka, Ill. and joined the Marine Corps Reserve in April 2012.

Rundle completes Air Force training

Air Force Airman Gregory H. Rundle graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program. Rundle is the son of Mary and Jeffrey Rundle of Vonesch Road, Plainfield. He is a 2012 graduate of Plainfield Central High School.
