Berkot’s donates to local food pantries

Bags available for purchase will be given to families

Berkot’s Super Foods is selling bags of non-perishable food items in each of its stores to be donated in turn to local food pantries during the holiday season.

Beginning Nov. 1 and ending Jan. 1, 2013, each of the 13 Berkot’s locations has two types of food bags on sale — a $5 bag and a $10 bag. Berkot’s customers can purchase a bag of their choosing and Berkot’s will then donate the bags to help families in need.
