Thanks to those who decided to ‘Be a Santa to a Senior’

Dear Editor,

On behalf of the staff at Home Instead Senior Care, I would like to express sincere appreciation to everyone who helped make our holiday community service program, Be a Santa to a Senior, such a success.

We coordinated with local senior service agencies, who provided names and gift requests for area seniors, and local merchants, who erected trees. With support from generous shoppers in the community, we were able to collect, wrap, and deliver gifts to more than 430 seniors throughout La Salle, Bureau, Putnam and Grundy, counties.

We also had numerous volunteers who gave of their time, money and energy to spread holiday cheer to our most deserving population, many of whom may have otherwise been overlooked or even forgotten this holiday season.

The support and generosity from the community has been simply overwhelming, and has made a difference in the lives of so many.

May you all have a happy, healthy, peaceful, and prosperous New Year.
