Chiefs, Reid agree to terms

(MCT) KANSAS CITY — The Chiefs have reached a contract agreement with Andy Reid to be their next head coach on Friday, according to a source close to the situation. Reid arrived in Kansas City after flying into Wheeler Downtown Airport. Chiefs chairman Clark Hunt then drove Reid to Arrowhead Stadium in a black SUV. Hunt showed Reid around the stadium and the former Eagles coach stopped to sign autographs for three Chiefs fans, writing "Go Chiefs" on a couple footballs. When asked for a comment by a Kansas City Star reporter, Reid declined.

The Chiefs also haven't settled on a new general manager to replace Scott Pioli, whose departure from the Chiefs was announced earlier on Friday. The most likely candidate is John Dorsey, Green Bay's director of college scouting. Reid will replace Romeo Crennel, who was fired Monday after the Chiefs finished their season at 2-14.

What is your stance on a proposed 1 percent sales tax to fund local school building projects?

I'm in favor of anything that will help improve school finances
I will support it if it helps to lower my property taxes
I oppose it because I don't believe it will impact property taxes and I will just pay twice
I'm against any additional taxes
I have not heard enough yet to form an opinion
