CHICAGO – Paul and Kristy Brown, owners of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® franchise locations in Orland Park and Elmhurst, are expanding their  moving company operation with the opening of two additional franchise locations in Chicago and Shorewood.

The decision to expand to Chicago (4201 West 36th St.) and Joliet-Shorewood (209 Amendodge Drive in Shorewood) was a result of the moving company’s continuous double-digit growth over the past 36 months, which has led to the creation of more than 50 new jobs at the Orland Park and Elmhurst locations.

“People are amazed that we have done so well despite the economic conditions over the past several years,” said Paul. “The reason for our success is simple. When you provide quality service focusing on the customer’s needs and keeping them happy, everything else just falls into place.

“These new locations will help us better serve our Chicago and suburban customers by reducing travel time, which not only makes it more convenient, but also helps them save money on moving services.”

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK franchisees since 2009, the Browns were familiar with the moving company through Paul’s brother Jeff, who owns two locations in Northwest Indiana (Cedar Lake and Valparaiso).

Given Jeff’s success, the couple decided to open their Elmhurst franchise in 2009, before adding the Orland Park location in 2010. Based on their experience with the existing locations, the Browns will open with 10 trucks between the Chicago and Joliet-Shorewood offices and given the growth seen in the southwest suburbs over the last decade, they expect to create at least 50 new jobs during the next 12 to 24 months.

“We’ve been blown away at how much growth the southwest suburbs have experienced,” Mr. Brown continued.

“Areas such as Joliet, Shorewood, Plainfield and New Lenox have seen tremendous population increases and become such great communities to live and work.

“While our current Orland Park location has provided exceptional moving services to these communities in the past, the new Joliet-Shorewood location will offer better accessibility for new and existing customers within those communities.”

As with the existing locations, both the Chicago and Joliet-Shorewood offices will handle moving and packing services for local and interstate moves for commercial and residential customers.
