The Indians for a 756 series from Zach Segatto (256, 279, 221) to help with the win in the non-conference series.

Also for Minooka, Dylan Pickett shot a 618, John Kauffman a 598, Nick Beeler a 584, Justin Shepard a 545 and Ryan Duggins a 531.


GIRLS BOWLING

Morris def. La Salle-Peru

Morris got a 627 series from Savannah Strange while Amber Benson bowled a 614 as the Redskins improve to 7-1 in Northern Illinois Big 12 matches.

"I have faith in my girls to continue out the year successfully," Morris coach Harry Banks said. "With one match left against DeKalb, the girls are starting to bowl the best they have all year."

In the JV meet, Morris again won to improve to 7-1. Skylar Easson had a 544 series and Alexis Meadors a 516 for the Redskins.

Tyler Schoonover and Connor Anderson had nine points apiece in the win.


GIRLS BASKETBALL

GSW 56,

Illinois Lutheran 26

Chelsea Schultz had 26 points in the win in a game in which seven girls scored.

GSW is now 7-11 on the season and 4-3 in the River Valley Conference.


Newark 69,

Lamoille 37

Lauren Tollefson had 17 points and Abbey Akre 13 in the win by Newark.


Manteno 61,

Dwight 41

Regina Dawson had 15 points for the Trojans while Lauren Seanard and Lisa Bruner had six each.

Maddie Halliday had 11 points and seven aces in the win.

Julie Mahlfeldt added eight points and five aces and Kenady Clayburn five kills.


Reed-Custer def. MVK

25-15, 25-16

Lauren Chapman had seven points in the loss while Sami Tondini added six.

In the seventh grade game, Reed-Custer won 26-24, 25-12, though Sydney Poyner had four points.
