Balloons on tap for centennial event

Library’s decorative demonstration scheduled for Jan. 24

Published: Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 6:59 a.m. CDT

The Morris Area Public Library is holding a monthly Vintage Craft Series in 2013 in celebration of its 100th birthday.

The first of this series will teach participants how to make a decorative mini hot air balloon out of an ornament, mini basket, glitter glue, etc.

This class will take place at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24.

The mini hot air balloon is great to give as a gift, hang as a mobile, or just to put up in an office space or home for a little whimsy.

This class requires registration as space is limited. It’s also free, so why not try something new?

To register, please visit the library or call (815) 942-6880.

The Morris Area Public Library is located at 604 Liberty St. in Morris, Ill.
