• Vanessa Wawerski, 21, of Ottawa, was arrested by La Salle County Sheriff’s police Jan. 9 on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal possession of cannabis under 2.5 grams, improper lane usage, and having a rear passenger without a seatbelt on. Wawerski posted bond and was released.

Wawerski’s passenger Harrision MaGuire, 21, of Ottawa, was cited by LaSalle County Sheriff’s police Jan. 9 on a charge of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Passenger Nicholas Sabia, 20, of Ottawa, was cited with charges of unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor and failure to wear a seatbelt.
MaGuire and Sabia were given notices to appear in court.
