Man sentenced for hunting from roadway

An Aurora man was punished in Grundy County Circuit Court for illegally hunting from a public roadway.

Esteban Miranda, 21, was sentenced to one year of court supervision and fined for the incident.

Miranda was charged at 6:09 p.m. Sept. 2, 2012, by the Illinois Conservation Police while he was driving in a blue Dodge on Nettle School Road, one mile south of U.S. 6. He was accused of firing a gun over a roadway and harassing an animal with his vehicle.
