Minooka lost the Southwest Prairie Conference game to fall to 5-5 in league action on the year.
Sam Wurtz had 17 points, followed by 13 from Larissa McLemen and eight from Kelly Carnagio.
In the sophomore game, East beat Minooka 36-30 despite 13 points by Kierli McLemen.
Newark 50,
Plano 32
Abbey Akre and Lauren Tollefson had 17 points each in the win by the Lady Norse (22-1).

BOYS BASKETBALL

Beecher 66
In triple overtime, the Panthers got their first win of the season behind 20 points by Tristan Noonan.
Cody Harvey added 19 points, Kyle Robison 14 and Dalton Wright 10.

Galesburg Tournament
GALESBURG — Minooka completed a 4-0 tournament by beating Dunlap 53-42 and Kankakee 54-42 on Monday. Jake Hogan scored 23 points in the Dunalp game, while Darrin Myers had 13 versus Kankakee.

Jordan Miracle scored 9 points in the “A” win for Morris Monday, with Jacob Jurasits, Jackson Shannon and Jacob Webb getting 6 each.
Ike Robinson scored 9 points and Michael Cryder 7 for the Redskins in a 49-40 “B” loss.

Gibson City 21
The Coalers set their single season record for dual wins by beating Gibson City on Tuesday night.
Getting wins for Coal City were: Cody Minnick at 106 (11-3), Casey Brown at 120 (fall 3:40), Max Rowell at 126 (fall 3:42), Jonah Englert at 132 (10-1), Jake Czaja at 145 (injury default), Michael Czaja at 152 (12-1), Ryan Naples at 170 (fall 4:56), Riley Kauzlaric at 182 (fall :51), and Kenton Clayburn at 220 (fall :45).
“We wrestled well from top to bottom,” Coal City coach Mark Masters said. “We scored bonus points in every match we won. I am very proud of the kids. We are starting to peak at the right time.”
