COAL CITY — A school bus was in a minor accident while taking three students to school Tuesday morning.

No one was injured in what was described as a “fender bender” by Susan Rutkowski, transportation director for Coal City Unit 1 School District.

The parents of the three students on the bus were all called, she said.

The bus was driving on Illinois 113 when a driver going east on 113 looked down for a minute and veered into the bus’ lane “scraping” the bumper of the bus, said Rutkowski.
