Published author Carmen Kosicek, RN, MSN,  an area resident of 34 years,  is now a contributing author at the largest publisher of State Board of Nursing journals in the United States, Publishing Concepts Inc.

Kosicek’s articles now span 21 states, reaching a staggering quarterly audience of 2.1 million nurses, students, faculty and hospital officials in circulating publications, as well as online sites such as StuNurse.com, and ThinkNurse.com.

Additionally, Ms. Kosicek will have articles featured in her now home-state, the Tennessee Nursing Extra, the most respected and widely read health care journal in Tennessee. This journal reaches a quarterly audience of over 150,000 nurses, students, educators and healthcare professionals of every degree and discipline across the state, including but not limited to LPNs, RNs, Nurse Executives, Advanced Practice Nurses, DNPs and PhDs, Nurse Educators and Preceptors.

Carmen Kosicek’s unique infusion of nursing, business and healthcare economics has lead her to this national platform. It is clear that Carmen is well versed to address an array of issues by drawing on her solid educational background.

She holds an Associate of Applied Science in Nuclear Medicine, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing, post-graduate certificate as an Advanced Practice Nurse in Nurse-Midwifery and additional post-graduate certificate studies in healthcare economics and disease management. She additionally studied under the Division of Insurance to further enhance her knowledgebase.

Her nursing and business inspirational insights come from firsthand experiences. Her diversified health care career has spanned Nuclear Medicine technology, women’s health staff nursing, hospital department nursing management, Advanced Practice Nurse-Midwife, pharmaceutical sales, maximum security prison nursing, hospice nursing, community health nursing, and collegiate teaching as an adjunct professor in nursing at both the private and for-profit sectors.

Presently, she is the Director of Research and Development in Nursing & Health Professions for one of the largest post-secondary educational companies in North America.
