Three kills, 15 points, 9 aces and 15 assists from Jen Smerling powered Saratoga (3-8) in the eighth-grade match Monday. It also got 3 kills with 8 points and 6 aces from Katy Smith, 5 points, 2 aces and 4 assists from LeeAnn Springer and a kill and 2 aces from Alyssa Larsen.

The Lady Hawks (6-2) won the seventh-grade match 25-6, 25-18 behind 2 kills and a block from Abby Bruyn, 2 kills, 4 points and an ace from Marisa Aguilar, a kill, 17 points and 8 aces from Abbey Moore and a kill, 6 points and 3 aces from Anna Thomas.

GARDNER — Sara Cahill had 6 service points Tuesday for Mazon-Verona-Kinsman in the eighth-grade match.

MVK (3-6) won 25-11, 25-11 at the seventh-grade level behind 17 points from Britney Helms and 14 from Alex Draves.

GRAND RIDGE — Cora Wilkinson served up 6 points Monday for the Mazon-Verona-Kinsman eighth-grade team.

Helms had 6 points for the seventh-grade Lady Mavericks, who won 25-22, 25-19.

MVK (4-0) won the sixth-grade match 25-8, 25-10 behind 11 points Alyssa Binion.
