Library offering free movie for teens Feb. 7

Published: Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013 6:55 a.m. CDT

The Morris Area Public Library’s free February movie night for teens will take place at 5:15 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7. The library will feature the movie “Pitch Perfect,” starring Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow and Rebel Wilson.

Beca is that girl who’d rather listen to what’s coming out of her headphones than what you have to say.  Arriving at her new college, she finds herself not right for any clique, but somehow is muscled into one that she never would have picked on her own:  alongside mean girls, sweet girls and weird girls whose only thing in common is how good they sound when they sing together.

When Beca takes this acoustic singing group out of their world of traditional arrangements and perfect harmonies into all-new mash-ups, they fight to climb their way to the top of the cutthroat world of college a cappella. This could wind up either the coolest thing they’ll ever do or the most insane, and it will probably be a little of both.

This movie is free and open to anyone over the age of 12. Anyone under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent.

Refreshments will be provided.

Please visit the library or call (815) 942-6880 to reserve a spot.
