Minooka bowling team misses finals cut
ROCKFORD — It was not the kind of day the Minooka girls bowling team was hoping for. The Indians finished with 5,552 pins on Friday, which put them ahead of 10 other entries but short of the finals cut.
Junior Emily Koulis led Minooka with a total of 1,195 pins while senior Allyson Lakota ended 10 pins behind her. Senior Alison Warwick came in at 1,056 and sophomore Lexi Jones had 920 over five games.
Senior Danielle Grygiel had a three-games series of 500, sophomore Kortney Sickler two games for 351, sophomore Nicole Segatto had one game of 173 and Kayly Windbiel one game of 172.
Lockport and Rockford Jefferson are tied at the top of the team leaderboard with 6,163 pins.
