Trio of fires ruled accidental

Causes determined for Nettle Street, Quality Millwork apartment fires

Three recent fires, responsible for nearly $1 million in property damage, have all been ruled accidents.

The Morris Fire Protection and Ambulance District, along with the Morris Police Department, announced Thursday they have concluded the investigation into the cause and origin of the fire of Wednesday, Jan. 30, at 521 Nettle Street.

The investigation has determined the fire, confined primarily to the attic area of the home, was accidental due to a short circuit of the electrical wires in the attic area. Property damage will remain at $50,000.

I will support it if it helps to lower my property taxes
I oppose it because I don't believe it will impact property taxes and I will just pay twice
I'm against any additional taxes
