Potassium iodide pills available to residents near power plants
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — People living within a 10-mile radius of the state’s six operating nuclear power plants can now obtain their free Potassium Iodide (KI) pills from one of 64 participating pharmacies.
The area pharmacies that carry the pills include: Doc’s Drugs of Braidwood, Channahon Ranch Pharmacy, Walgreens in Channahon, Coal City Pharmacy, Doc’s Drugs of Coal City, Doc’s Drugs of Dwight, Schott’s Pharmacy, Inc. in Marseilles, Minooka Health Mart Pharmacy and Walgreens in Morris.
