MANHATTAN — Mr. Joseph H. Greenwood, 57, of Manhattan, Ill., passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at his home.
Born Oct. 17, 1955, in Rochester, New York, Joseph is a son of Marie Savage of Wilmington. Joe owned and operated Dunnrite Siding Company in Manhattan for more than 30 years.
Survivors include his mother Marie Savage; wife, Karla (Kociss); two sons, Joseph Greenwood and Jason Greenwood, both of Manhattan; one daughter, Jessica (Richard) Shubbe of Manteno; three grandchildren, Kloey, Zack and Allie; three brothers, Ivan (Terri) Greenwood of Aurora, Donald Greenwood of Morris and Kenneth Greenwood of Aurora; one sister, Lori (Doug) Henvest of Hawaii; two sisters-in-law, Karen (Larry) Lehnert of Manhattan and Koleen Kociss of Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joe was preceded in death by his sister, Dianne M. Hall, who passed away in 1980.
Visitation and video tribute will he held from 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, until the time of funeral services at 2 p.m. at Freitag-Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. Bernard VanGampler, preacher from Rolling Acres Church of Christ in Channahon, will officiate.
Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
Inurnment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet at a later date.
Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Joe’s memory to the family for their distribution.
