Truck strikes tree on U.S. 150 in Downs; driver killed
(MCT) — DOWNS — A 39-year-old rural McLean County man was killed late Thursday when his westbound pickup truck veered off U.S. 150 in Downs for an unknown reason and struck a tree, McLean County Coroner Beth Kimmerling said.
Police were called at 10:38 p.m. about the single-vehicle accident on U.S. 150 between McLean County roads 750 North and 800 North. Police said the man was found unresponsive, and Kimmerling said he was pronounced dead at 11:30 p.m. at the scene.
