Treasurer requests funds for full-time employee

Says $15,700 in budget not enough to attract quality candidates for job

Grundy County Treasurer Marcy Miller has asked the Grundy County Personnel Committee to hire on a full-time person in her office.

Miller came before the committee at its regular meeting last week. There are currently three full-time people in the office, including herself.

They are currently working on a new payroll system that should be online in March, she said. This, on top of the treasurer's office responsibilities, including collecting and disbursing real estate taxes, has the office employees in need of help.
