Donations pay for hospital’s new bus

Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers recently added a new bus to its patient transportation fleet. At a cost of $50,412, the new bus was funded by the Morris Hospital Foundation primarily using proceeds raised at the 2012 Morris Hospital Auxiliary Golf Outing and Bridge/Euchre Tournament.

The new, 10-passenger, wheelchair accessible bus replaces a 2004 bus that accumulated 230,000 miles during its years of service. That bus will be retained and used when any of the six active patient transportation buses are undergoing maintenance.

What is your stance on a proposed 1 percent sales tax to fund local school building projects?

I'm in favor of anything that will help improve school finances
I will support it if it helps to lower my property taxes
I oppose it because I don't believe it will impact property taxes and I will just pay twice
I'm against any additional taxes
I have not heard enough yet to form an opinion
