LAKE SHANNON — Ms. Carol Jean Coglianese, 73, of Lake Shannon, and formerly of the Southside of Chicago, passed away Saturday evening, March 2, 2013, at her home.

Born Jan. 23, 1940, in Chicago, Carol was a daughter of the late Ralph and Caroline Cerceo-Coglianese. She spent her entire life as a homemaker, and will be remembered for her great love of cooking for family.

Survivors include five children, Stephanie (Dave) DeVries and Dawn (Steve) Noe, both of Braidwood, Ill., Carol (the late Ken) Lentz of Steger, Ill., and David Gibbons and Little Joe "Pug" Hooge, both of Lake Shannon; 12 grandchildren, Lisa (Josh) Thompson, Eric (Jen) DeVries, David DeVries, Jeremy (Kim) DeVries, Dakota Casey, Olivia Casey, Todd Noe, Joey Noe, Steve Noe, Jarrad Noe, Jessica Blumenthal and Joey Lentz; and six great-grandchildren, Blake, Breanna, Kenzie, Jayden, Jasmine and Dominic; as well as her close friend, Gail, of Oak Lawn.
