Weather-related closings, cancellations announced
Several closings and cancellations have been announced for Tuesday, March 5, due to the snowy conditions. The list will be updated periodically throughout the day as the Morris Daily Herald is notified. As of 12:30 p.m., closings and cancellations include:
LOCAL WORKFORCE INVESTMENT AREA #4
The Chief Elected Officials of Local Workforce Investment Area #4 meeting that was to be held in Dixon, Ill., has been canceled for this evening.

COAL CITY BASKETBALL
Tonight's Sectional semi-final game between Rich East and Coal City scheduled has been canceled due to the wintry conditions. The game will, instead, be played at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, at Rich South High School, with gates opening at 6 p.m. The Sectional final will be played at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 8.

DISTRICT 101 REC CENTER
The Dist. 101 Rec Center is closed in both the morning and evening on Tuesday, March 5.

GRUNDY COUNTY HOUSING AUTHORITY
Executive Director Brent Newman announced on Facebook that the Grundy County Housing Authority office will be closed today because of inclement weather. Maintenance crews will remain on duty to help remove snow.

MORRIS AREA PUBLIC LIBRARY
As of 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, the Morris Area Public Library announced on the Morris Daily Herald's Facebook page, it had decided to remain closed for the day and all activities will be canceled.
