Morris man arrested for child porn
Search warrant executed at Pettit's apartment Monday
CHANNAHON, Ill. — A 55-year-old Morris man was arrested by Channahon police Monday on a charge of disseminating child pornography.
Douglas G. Pettit, of 734 1/2 E. Main St., Morris, had been trading digital media of child pornography from an IP address, Channahon Detective Adam Bogart said. Pettit's arrest came following a five-month investigation.
Bogart learned of a web address in October offering child pornography for download, he said, and eventually traced it to Pettit's computer.
