Teen faces kidnapping, battery charges

Brett A. Emery, 18, of Montgomery, was arrested by Kendall County Sheriff’s police March 1 on charges of aggravated kidnapping, kidnapping, unlawful restraint, aggravated battery, domestic battery, aggravated assault and criminal damage to property.

Emery allegedly battered the juvenile victim, his ex-girlfriend, at her home and then forced her to go with him to his residence, where he continued to batter the victim.

The victim began yelling, at which point a witness to the alleged offense intervened and the victim was able to leave. Emery was taken to Kendall County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
