Brothers receive Eagle Scout rank

McDaniels celebrate earning boy scout’s most prestigious honor

GODLEY, Ill. — Harry and Trevor McDaniel, boy scouts from Troop 459 in Godley, Ill., officially earned the rank of Eagle Scout at the Eagle Board of Review on Dec. 3, 2012, but they had their Eagle Scout ceremony at the Gardner American Legion on March 10, 2013.

Harry started his scout career as a Tiger Scout in Cub Scout Pack 462 at age 7. He earned the Arrow of Light, the Cub Scout’s highest award in 2006 and moved into Boy Scouts. In Boy Scouts, some of his jobs in the troop were Troop Guide, where he helps out the younger scouts; Patrol Leader, where he was in charge of a group of scouts within the troop; and his last job was OA Representative ,where he communicated what was happening from the Order of the Arrow to the Troop.
