Thomas R. Prairie, 25, of Marseilles, was convicted and sentenced to 84 days in the Grundy County Jail for a May 2010 charge of possession of a controlled substance, a Class 4 felony. He was in possession of a substance containing heroin. Prairie was also sentenced to 24 months probation, 30 hours of community service, and paid all of his fines. He was given credit for 12 days served in jail.

Scott R. Dvorak, 21, of Coal City, was convicted and sentenced to two days in the Grundy County Jail and probation for a March 11 charge of reckless discharge of a firearm, a Class 4 felony. He was sentenced to 30 months probation and ordered to pay more than $700 in fines and court costs, plus $20 a month in probation costs.
