Former Morris resident sentenced for aggravated battery of a child

Connor gets 33 days in jail, two years probation

Zachary E. Connor, 24, formerly of the 300 block of Lincoln St., Morris, pleaded guilty to a charge of aggravated battery to a child Tuesday.

He was sentenced to 33 days in jail, 24 months probation and, because his victim was under 5 years old at the time, Connor has to register as a violent offender against youth for the next 10 years, Grundy County State's Attorney Jason Helland said. A charge of endangering the life of a child was dismissed pending the plea agreement.
