Man’s actions toward teenager lead to charge of disorderly conduct
A Minooka man was arrested at the Morris Walmart Tuesday for disorderly conduct after he allegedly was following a 17-year-old female and told her to get in his car.
Morris police arrested Motee M. Hamdan, 32, 1337 Marigold Lane, Minooka, Tuesday evening, after police were called to the Walmart parking lot.
Chief Brent Dite said Wednesday dispatchers told police the 9-1-1 caller said a man told her to get into his vehicle and was staring at her.
Dite said the report indicates the juvenile was exiting the store when Hamdan drove by her slowly, making eye contact with her. As she walked to her vehicle, he circled her vehicle twice, pulled up next to her vehicle while she was in it, winked at her, and told her to get into the car.
When police arrived, they located Hamdan in his vehicle, about four parking stalls from the juvenile.
Hamdan made no physical contact with her, but alarmed and scared her, said Dite.
Hamdan was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct. He posted $120 bond and was released with an April 8 court date.
