Stavanger Pioneers to meet March 27

SENECA — The Stavanger Pioneers will meet at noon Wednesday, March 27, at Fellowship Hall of the Stavanger Lutheran Church, 2904 N. 32nd Road, north of Seneca.

The Pioneers is an interdenominational group of senior citizens, 55 years and over, and all couples and singles of the community are invited to attend. Each person attending is asked to bring a dish to pass for the noon meal and their own table service.

Howard Manthei of Yorkville will present a program on the history of the accordian and will take those present back in time by playing a variety of hits that made Frankie Yankovic, Myron Floren and Dick Contino famours.

Phil Peterson, pastor of Stavanger Lutheran will give the table blessing and devotions. For more information, call the church at (815) 357-6514.
