Pair sentenced to 3 years for cannabis charge
Saveth Yonn, 28, and Virachai C. Phothisen, 48, both of Lowell, MA, were sentenced to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for a Nov. 15 charge of unlawful possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver. Yonn was ordered to pay more than $700 in court fines and costs and Phothisen more than $1,200.
Nyckole R. Herman, 28, of Minooka, pleaded guilty to a Jan. 8 charge of using a cell phone in a school zone. She was fined $220 and sentenced to 12 months court supervision.
