William J. Black
COAL CITY, Ill. — Mr. William J. "Bill" Black, 90, of Coal City, Ill., passed away Saturday afternoon, March 16, 2013, at Heritage Health in Dwight.
Born Aug. 1, 1922, in Morris, Bill was a son of the late James A. and Margaret Haggerty-Black. He was raised and educated in Morris.
Bill was a World War II veteran and honorably served in the United States Army from 1942 until 1946. He received two campaign medals, as well as the victory medal prior to his discharge.
