Employees of La Salle Station and Under His Wings manager Tammy Reyes pose with the baby supplies donated during the Exelon facility’s holiday party.

Under His Wings would like to thank Exelon’s La Salle Station employees for their generous support of the ministry.

La Salle Station had their holiday party recently and the employees were asked to bring a baby item, along with their ticket, in order to gain entry into the festivities.  The response was overwhelming, and produced a mountain of needed supplies that will help the many moms that come to the Women’s Center for assistance.

The employees brought boxes of diapers, wipes, baby wash, lotion, diaper ointment, formula, blankets, and socks.  The shelves were restocked with these items and will benefit dozens and dozens of moms for quite a while.

Under His Wings has been in existence for 28 years and is a non-denominational Christian organization that assists pregnant women and moms with babies and toddlers.

The Women’s Center is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to noon and is located at 802 Liberty Street in Morris.  They can be reached at (815) 942-4682 for further information.

In order to support the Women’s Centers, Under His Wings has a resale shop, which is run entirely by volunteers. It accepts donations of gently used items such as furniture, antiques, linens, jewelry, kitchen essentials, pictures, and seasonal decorations.

It is also located at 802 Liberty Street in Morris and is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. For questions, please call (815) 941-2831.

Under His Wings is truly grateful for the way in which the La Salle Station employees showed their generosity. Even though they have extremely busy schedules, they found the time to identify needs in the community and then took action to help.
