Witness describes South Bend plane crash that killed 2
(MCT) SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Patricia Kobalski first heard the boom of an explosion Sunday afternoon. Then she saw swirling glass, insulation and smoke. A small twin-engine jet had crashed into the front room of her home.
Kobalski ran from a back bedroom to the kitchen to grab her 6-year-old son, Dominick, who was screaming “Mom!” Kobalski recalled that she patted him down, grabbed some warm clothing and fled.
