Finding the right fitness program is not necessarily an easy task these days.

There are an assortment of factors, like atmosphere, equipment, support programs, etc., that weigh into a person’s decision for how they plan to keep in shape. Ultimately, this decision is vital to whether the person is successful in their fitness goals.

Metabolic Fitness Management, which oversees Peak Fitness in Minooka and Morris Athletic Club in Morris, strives in many ways to make a person’s fitness experience a positive one.

Joe Spiker, owner of Metabolic Fitness Management, explains his training programs and facilities offer customers ample opportunities for them to achieve success from the moment they walk in the door.

What makes your personal training stand out from other gyms in the area?

Our personal training program has an emphasis on education first. We believe in order for someone to be successful, they must know exactly what to do in regards to cardiovascular training, nutrition and strength training.

Every person is different. So, if we can tailor an affordable program to fit each individual’s needs, taking into account fitness history, fitness goals, medical history and current schedule, then they will have a much greater chance to succeed.

Atmosphere, including quality of equipment and comfort, are obviously important to people seeking out a fitness center. How would you describe the atmosphere at Peak Fitness and Morris Athletic Club?

At both facilities, we pride ourselves on providing state-of-the-art facilities in a comfortable, welcoming environment.

Two of the main reasons people fail when pursuing a fitness goal is that they are not comfortable in a new environment or are not confident in their course of action.

All new members receive a complimentary “First Workout” with a personal trainer in which the member will be introduced to what the gym has to offer and educated about what they have to do in order to be successful.

Do you provide any support programs or opportunities for people newly introduced tot he fitness world or working at a lower level of fitness? Explain these opportunities and how people can take advantage.

Our personal training program is designed for all fitness levels but has vital support structures, especially for those new to working out, of a lower fitness level or for those with pre-existing injuries.
