Gilbert’s students compete at AKA

Sensei Todd Gilbert of Gilbert Karate Studios in Channahon took three students from Bergman’s Karate in Braidwood, Ill., to the American Karate Association Grand Nationals Feb. 2, 2013, at the Hyatt regency in downtown Chicago.

The three students, who Gilbert has been training, were Arron Atwood, Aiden Smith and Josey Wells.
At AKA, the three young men competed in six events combined and came away with six trophies — three of which were National Champions.

Sensei Gilbert is now training students at his new Dojo in Channahon.
