Shirley A. Hardin

OTTAWA, Ill. — Mrs. Elwood (Shirley A.) Hardin, 64, of Ottawa, Ill., passed away Friday morning, April 5, 2013, in OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa.

Born Aug. 21, 1948, in Ottawa, Ill., the daughter of William C. and Lorene Brockman Greer, she married Elwood Hardin on May 1, 1976, in the Marseilles Church of the Nazarene.

Shirley was a shopaholic who also enjoyed spending time visiting with her many friends and family.
She was a member of the Southside Nazarene Church in Ottawa.

Surviving is her loving husband,  Elwood, along with her two sisters, Norma Kuhn, and her husband, Bud, of Grand Ridge, Ill., and Laura Goodin, and her husband, Tom, of Marseilles, Ill.; and her two brothers, Bill Greer, and his wife, Pat, and Sid Greer, and his wife, Diane, of Marseilles; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her parents; and two brothers, Kenny and Leonard Greer.

Friends may call on Tuesday, April 9, from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11 a.m. The Rev. Duane Kaufman will officiate at U. C. Davis & Sons Funeral Home Ltd., 301 W. Washington St., Morris, Ill.  Interment will follow in Sample Cemetery.
