Centrue Bank employees give back

Campaign generates $800 for United Way

Centrue Bank employees in Coal City, Diamond, and Braidwood recently held their annual United Way campaign and raised nearly $800 to make a difference in the community.

“I am happy to be part of the Centrue Bank Team, whose employees continually donate year after year to United Way,” stated Paula Pfeifer, branch manager/assistant vice president, Centrue Bank.

“Not only do they donate to the United Way campaign, they also donate throughout the year to other various organizations. And more importantly than their dollars, they donate their time, volunteering at various food pantries, local community events etc.”

Centrue Bank supports the United Way of Grundy County in other ways throughout the year. Pfeifer has served on its board of directors for six years, and currently serves as secretary on the executive board.

“Centrue Bank employees give back to the community in so many ways throughout the year,” stated Karen Nall, executive director, United Way of Grundy County. “In addition to their United Way campaign, they participate in a variety of other fundraisers throughout the year that benefit local not-for-profit agencies.”

Centrue Bank employees include Susan Hess, Paula Pfeifer, Shelly Andreina, Jill Hackl, Marilyn McLin, Lora Feil, Courtney Pearson, Melissa Ventola, Nicolle Perino, John Mendoza, Liza Gillan, Katie Stiteley, Kathy Vaira, Wendy Smith, Sam Siemieniec, Elissa Kennedy, Jill Ringenberg, Josh Bowers, Fran Hillman, Kerrie Doglio, Penny McKeller, Jayna Frazier, and Joyce Newton.

The United Way of Grundy County raises funds to support 27 local Community Partner Agencies that provide vital programs and services specifically for Grundy County residents. This year’s campaign goal is $455,000.
