Man guilty of harassing a hunter

On April 16, 2013, Grundy County State’s Attorney Jason Helland announced that a petit jury found Adam Holm, 49, of Coal City, guilty of the offense of hunter harassment when he interfered with the lawful taking of a wild white-tailed deer on Dec. 2, 2012.

A jury trial was held on Monday, April 15.  The petit jury returned a verdict of guilty in less than ten minutes. The case was prosecuted by State’s Attorney Jason Helland and Assistant State’s Attorney Chris Dearth.

Holm’s sentencing is scheduled for May 30, 2013.
