BIZ BITS: Garden Centers return to Berkot’s Super Foods stores early next month

Published: Friday, April 19, 2013 11:32 a.m. CDT

Gardeners, landscapers, growers and more are invited to the Berkot’s Super Foods Garden Centers once again this spring for all of their planting needs.

For the fourth year, the garden centers will offer a variety of flowers and vegetable products to Berkot’s customers.

Included will be the ever-popular hanging flower baskets, a variety of flower flats, and vegetables such as pepper, tomato and jalapeno plants. Planted pots will also be available for those who need a Mother’s Day gift or those who just want something decorative for their home or patio.

“Most of the products come from local farmers,” said Greg Broderick, produce supervisor for Berkot’s. “The quality from our local growers is outstanding.” Some products are shipped to Berkot’s from Michigan, however.

All Berkot’s locations will have a garden center with the exception of the South Wilmington store. Each will be staffed with trained Berkot’s employees, available for any customer needs.

The centers will open for business Monday, May 6 through the end of May. An advertisement specific to the centers will begin Thursday, May 9.
