Employees of Grundy Bank pose for a photograph to commemorate the eighth straight year of the bank having 100-percent participation by its employees in the annual United Way of Grundy County fundraising drive.

“All of us at Grundy Bank are extremely proud to have 100 percent employee participation for the eighth consecutive year in the United Way campaign,” said Kevin Olson, CEO and president of Grundy Bank.

“United Way is a wonderful organization that allows organizations like ours a unique way to support our community’s charitable organizations.”

In addition to raising over $2,600 in employee pledges, Grundy Bank also made a $1,000 gift to the United Way of Grundy County.

“We are so grateful to Grundy Bank and its employees for their continued support of programs and services that impact our community,” Karen Nall, executive director of the United Way of Grundy County.

“This is their eighth consecutive year of achieving 100% employee participation in their United Way campaign, which speaks volumes to just how caring everyone at Grundy Bank is about making a difference in their community.”

Grundy Bank supports the United Way in other ways. Randy Matravers, Grundy Bank Assistant Vice President has served on the United Way of Grundy County Board of Directors since 1998.

“As a board member, I continually see the power of people helping people, a true cornerstone of a caring community!” Matravers said.

“Our recent campaign illustrates the generosity and giving spirit of the people that make up Grundy Bank. Our employees have once again demonstrated what it means to Live United!”

In addition to investing in the community through donations to United Way, they also make a direct impact in the community by donating their time to such events as Meals on Wheels, bell ringing for Salvation Army, as well as our very own annual Grundy Bank Coat Drive.

The United Way of Grundy County raises funds that support 27 partner not-for-profit agencies that provide vital programs and services for Grundy County residents.

This year’s campaign goal is $455,000.
