The Canadian National Railroad (formerly EJ&E Railway) grade crossing located at the west village limits of Channhon, on U.S. 6, will be closed beginning Monday, April 29.

U.S. 6 will be closed for approximately seven days to allow the Canadian National railroad to rebuild the crossing. U.S. 6 traffic will be detoured to Interstate 80, using Ridge Road and Brisbin Road interchanges as appropriate.

Motorists are urged to use caution and expect some delays while traveling on the detour route.
