ICS holds its first-ever St. Joseph Table
Immaculate Conception School students in fifth through eighth grades recently participated in the school’s first-ever St. Joseph Table. This took place on the Feast of St. Joseph, March 19.
The St. Joseph Table is popular among Italian Americans, as well as among many other people. The St. Joseph Table consists of the sharing of a meal in honor of the life and dedication of this great saint.
I.C.S. families were responsible for furnishing the food for the meal. Each class was assigned something to bring and share with others.
Father Ed Howe, Immaculate Conception pastor, conducted a prayer and blessing before the meal.
Following the meal, students read stories about the life of St. Joseph and about the tradition of the St. Joseph Table.
