Memorial Day observance to include parade, ceremony

MINOOKA — Plans are set for Minooka’s Memorial Day observance on Monday, May 27.

The observance will include a parade, which will begin at 10 a.m. at the Minooka Bible Church. Parade participants will line up at 9:30 a.m.

The parade will proceed through downtown Minooka to the Veterans’ Park at the corner of Mondamin and Wabena streets.

Following the parade, there will be a ceremony, including prayers, songs, speakers, laying of wreaths and gun salute.
