Long investigation leads to an arrest in campground theft

YORKVILLE, Ill. — A 19-year-old Sandwich man was arrested by Kendall County Sheriff’s police Monday and charged with theft, capping a three-month investigation.

On Feb. 12, Richard Stiles allegedly stole money from the Hide-a-way Lakes Campground in unincorporated Kendall County in Yorkville.

Stiles faces nine felony counts of theft over $500.

Stiles is being held on a $50,000/10 percent bond at the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office Corrections Center.
