Joshua M. Trahan, 31, of Mendota, was arrested by La Salle County Sheriff’s police May 20 on charges of DUI and criminal trespass to property.

The arresting deputy apparently had to leave the roadway to avoid being hit by Trahan, who was allegedly driving the car without the owner’s permission.

Trahan was also cited for driving in the wrong lane and improper lane usage.

He posted bond and was released.
