Churches gearing up for VBS

Summer kids’ activities begin as early as June 10

The First United Methodist Church of Morris, 118 W. Jackson St., invites children who have completed 3-year-old preschool through fifth grade to join in Vacation Bible School.

From 9 a.m. to noon each day, June 10 – 14, the church will host “Everywhere Fun Fair: Where God’s World Comes Together” Vacation Bible School.

At “Everywhere Fun Fair,” the children will experience God’s welcoming love through dramas, crafts, games, science activities, music and hours of fun!.

Stone Hill Bible Church

VBS Kids Camp will take place from 6 to 8:30 p.m. each day, June 17 - 21, at Stone Hill Bible Church.

The annual Vacation Bible School is open to potty-trained children as young as 3, through fifth grade. There is no cost to attend.

Coal City Area

Coal City United Methodist Church and New Hope Presbyterian Church of Coal City invite children to “Kingdom Rock:  Where Kids Stand Strong for God” Vacation Bible School.

The summer event for kids will be hosted at Coal City United Methodist Church, located at 6805 E. McArdle Road, Coal City. It will run from 9 a.m. to noon each day from June 17-21.

At Kingdom Rock VBS, faith and imagination soar as kids stand strong for God through songs, games, treats, experiments,and Bible activities. Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings.

Each day concludes with a celebration that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned.

Kingdom Rock is for kids from preschool to fifth grade. Individuals going into sixth grade or older are invited to be crew leaders at VBS.
