Pedestrian sues after being struck by car

Published: Thursday, May 30, 2013 9:30 a.m. CST

A woman is suing after she was hit by a car while walking in a parking lot.

Sandra Kehoe was a pedestrian in the parking lot of Mallard Point apartment complex on Nov. 4, 2012, when Hailey Hoegger was operating a vehicle in the lot.

The case filing alleges Hoegger failed to stop or avoid Kehoe and struck her. The case continues that Hoegger failed to keep a look out for pedestrians, failed to reduce speed to avoid an accident, failed to keep her vehicle under control, and failed to slow down as she approached a pedestrian.

Kehoe suffered “severe injuries to her body,” and is suing for more than $50,000.

She is also suing James Hoegger, who owns the vehicle Hailey Hoegger was driving, also for more than $50,000.
